Company

Small, independent, and accountable for what it ships.

Marlune Technologies LLC is a privately held software company registered in the State of Wyoming, United States. We build our own products and we operate them ourselves.

Who we are

A product company, deliberately.

Marlune Technologies exists to build and run software under its own name. We are self-funded, which means no investor timetable decides when a product is ready, and no growth target pushes us into a business model we would not choose — the two forces that most often turn a good piece of software into a mediocre one.

Being small is a constraint we design around rather than apologise for. It rules out sprawling product lines and it rules in a level of care that larger organisations struggle to sustain: the person who wrote a feature is the person who answers the email about it, and there is no queue between a user's report and the engineer who can fix it.

The company is organised as a Wyoming limited liability company. It is the legal entity behind everything we publish — the developer of record for our applications, the counterparty on our terms of service, and the controller responsible for personal data our products handle. When you deal with a Marlune product, you are dealing with this company; nothing is subcontracted away behind a brand.

Our work is currently in active development, and we will list products here as they ship. We would rather have an honest page than an impressive one.

What we hold to

Commitments that cost us something.

Any company can publish values. These are the ones that close doors we could otherwise walk through.

01

We do not monetise attention

No advertising, no engagement-optimised feeds, no notification patterns designed to pull someone back into an app they had finished using. Our products are paid for directly or they are free — never paid for with a user's behaviour.

02

We do not broker data

Personal data is never sold, rented or shared with data brokers or advertising networks. Where a third-party service is genuinely needed to operate a product, we name it in the relevant privacy policy rather than hiding it behind a category.

03

We make cancelling easy

Where we charge a subscription, ending it takes the same number of steps as starting it, with no retention gauntlet and no support call required. Renewal dates and price changes are announced before they take effect.

04

We answer real people

Support reaches an engineer, not a scripted queue. We would rather have fewer users we can properly support than more we cannot.

05

We say when we are wrong

Outages, mistakes and security issues get published, along with what we changed so they do not recur. Silence would be easier and we consider it disqualifying.

06

We plan for the end

If a product is discontinued, we say so in advance, provide a complete export in an open format, and keep the service running long enough for people to move. Software should not disappear with its users' work inside it.

The name

“Lune” is the moon — a body that keeps to a schedule, is visible to everyone, and needs no announcement to do its work. It is a reasonable standard for infrastructure software: predictable, quietly reliable, and there when you look for it.

Working with us

Partnerships and enquiries.

We are a product company and do not take on client development work. We are, however, open to distribution partnerships, technical collaboration, licensing conversations and press enquiries.

Every message to our general address is read by someone at the company. We aim to reply within two business days.
