Independent software company  ·  Sheridan, Wyoming

We build and operate our own software products.

Marlune Technologies is an independent product company. We design, engineer and run mobile applications and SaaS platforms end to end — from the first data model to the release build and the servers behind it.

What we do

Three disciplines, one team.

We are a product company rather than an agency. Everything we ship, we also maintain — which shapes how we choose our tools and where we are willing to take on complexity.

Mobile applications

Native and hybrid applications for iOS and Android, built to platform conventions rather than against them. We treat the App Store and Play review guidelines as design constraints from the first sketch, not as a hurdle at the end.

SaaS platforms

Multi-tenant web software with the unglamorous parts taken seriously: authentication, billing, roles and permissions, audit trails, exports and a real deletion path. The parts customers only notice when they are missing.

Infrastructure & operations

We run our own servers, deployments, backups and monitoring. Owning the operational layer keeps user data on infrastructure we control and keeps the cost of a product predictable over years, not quarters.

Our position

Owned products, not billable hours.

Marlune Technologies does not sell development time. We fund, build and operate our own portfolio, which means we answer to the people using the software rather than to a project budget that ends at launch.

That has a practical consequence: we are the ones who get paged when something breaks at three in the morning, and we are the ones who still maintain a codebase four years after the launch announcement. It makes us conservative about dependencies, deliberate about data models, and unusually reluctant to add a feature we cannot support indefinitely.

It also means we can hold a standard that client work rarely affords — no advertising SDKs, no data brokerage, no dark patterns in a subscription flow. Those are not marketing positions. They are simply not in the business model.

Principles

What every product we ship has to satisfy.

These are working rules, applied before a release rather than described after one.

01

Collect the least data that makes the product work

Every field we store has to justify itself against a concrete feature. Where a capability can work on the device instead of on a server, it works on the device. Data we never collected is data we cannot lose, leak or be compelled to hand over.

02

No third-party tracking, ever

Our applications and this website carry no advertising networks, no cross-site analytics and no behavioural profiling SDKs. We do not sell, rent or broker personal data, and we do not build products whose revenue depends on attention harvesting.

03

Accessible by default, not by request

We target WCAG 2.2 AA: keyboard operability, visible focus, sufficient contrast in both light and dark appearance, respect for reduced-motion and larger text settings. An interface that fails a screen reader is an unfinished interface.

04

Your data stays yours

Anything a user puts into our software can be exported in an open, documented format, and deletion means deletion — including from backups on a stated schedule. No product of ours holds a customer hostage through their own content.

05

Built to be maintained

We favour boring, well-understood technology and a small dependency surface over whatever is fashionable this year. Software that is still secure and buildable in five years is worth more than software that was novel for one.
